EXHIBITION ELIGIBILITY: This exhibit is open to CURRENT CAVA artist members, aged 50 and over. 

ENTRY FEES:
CAVA members may submit one work, no fee required

Non-members may enter, but must pay CAVA's annual membership fee of $50. All fees are payable at www.WeAreCava.org via our JOIN page.

Exhibiting artists are eligible for the following prizes:
Best of Show                        $300
3 Awards of Excellence        $100 each
3 Honorable Mentions          Blick Art Supply Gift Cards

ARTWORK SALES AND COMMISSIONS:
CAVA will manage and complete any sale of work sold. CAVA will receive a 25% commission from all sales and collect tax from the buyer, and send it to the state. Artists will receive their share of proceeds from a sale from CAVA after the exhibit is over. Please price your work accordingly.

LIABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Submission of work for this exhibit will be construed as acceptance of all conditions set forth in the Call for Entry. CAVA reserves the right not to display work that does not meet exhibition standards or the terms of this CFE. Reasonable precautions will be taken to safeguard artists' work from damage; however, neither CAVA nor
 the Bridgeport Art Center, nor its supporters, volunteers, subcontractors, nor any of the participating agencies or businesses will be responsible for the loss or damage of artwork for any reason. CAVA requires that all Exhibitors sign a release form; forms will be sent via email to the Artists, available at the drop-off location, and may also be downloaded from wearecava.org.

MEDIA REQUIREMENTS:

1. All work must meet professional presentation standards.

2. 2-D work must be framed or gallery wrapped, wired, and ready for wall mounting. Please use plexiglass when framing, not glass. There is no size limitation for 2D work.
   Artwork submitted with sawtooth/alligator style hangers will not be displayed.

3. Bridgeport will provide pedestals for sculptures and 3-D work.

4. Work may not have been shown in any previous CAVA art shows.

HOW TO ENTER:

1. One entry per member. Use CAVA's Entrythingy online application below. Access the application using a LAPTOP or TABLET computer, not a phone. The Entrythingy application does not function on either iPhone or Android platforms.

2. Digital images should be a minimum of 1500 pixels wide in the longer dimension in jpg format.
   Minimum file size—100 kb; Maximum file size—5 mg.


3. List the file name for your work on the entry form.

4. Online submission deadline: Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 11:59 p.m.

5. NON-MEMBERS: Use the PayPal online payment system via CAVA's website JOIN page       (wearecava.org/join-cava) to pay the $50 membership;
   OR, mail a check payable to CAVA to:

IDENTIFICATION OF WORK:  Artists must affix a label to the back of art with artist's name, phone number,
email address, title, and price.

EXHIBIT OPENS:   January 17, 2025

ARTISTS' RECEPTION and AWARDS CEREMONY:  Friday, January 17, 2024, 7:00–10:00 p.m.
3rd FRIDAY OPEN STUDIO RECEPTION:  Friday, February 21, 2025. 7:00–10:00 p.m.
FINAL DAY OF EXHIBITION:  Friday, March 7, 2025

ARTWORK PICK UP:   Satruday, March 8, 12:00–4:00 p.m.

Artists are responsible for on-time delivery and pick up.
All work left beyond the pick up date is subject to a $10 daily storage fee.
